A judge sentenced a 20- year-old East Greenbush volunteer firefighter Tuesday to serve jail time and probation and ordered him to pay $150,000 in restitution for setting a barn fire earlier this year.
As part of a plea bargain, Assistant District Attorney Karen Carlson insisted that Jeffrey D. Pulver pay restitution for damage to the barn on Lindemann Road in East Greenbush.
County Judge M. Andrew Dwyer Jr. also sentenced Pulver to six months in the Rensselaer County Jail, and five years' probation for his guilty plea to fourth-degree arson. Pulver, a volunteer with the Best- Luther Fire Department, had been initially …
