Vic: Investigation found no evidence of police corruption: Force
MELBOURNE, Feb 5 AAP - Victoria Police today said an investigation by its federal counterpartfound no evidence of a corruption cover-up in the state's force.
Victoria Police Deputy Commissioner Peter Nancarrow said both the Australian FederalPolice (AFP) and the state Ombudsman had investigated allegations made by Senior DetectiveGerry McHugh.
Sen Det McHugh said today he was taking legal action against Victoria Police and ChiefCommissioner Christine Nixon for the alleged cover-up.
The allegations relate to a police affidavit accusing Sen Det McHugh of being withdisgraced …
