A camera-happy Austrian says he has booked a young woman linkedto the sex scandal engulfing Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi ashis companion for the Vienna Opera Ball next week.
Richard Lugner is a 78-year-old construction mogul who is aregular on reality TV and known for his young girlfriends and quirkyways. Every year, he takes a different celebrity to the flashy bashamid much media attention.
Lugner said Tuesday he received a completed contract from Karimael-Mahroug , an 18-year-old nicknamed Ruby , who is at the heart ofthe scandal.
She replaces actress Bo Derek and two other unnamed celebritieswho fell through in recent weeks. Lugner's past dates include ParisHilton and Nicollette Sheridan .
This year's Opera Ball is on March 3.
King to do one-man stage show
Larry King is not done talking.
The former talk-show host, who retired last year after 25 yearsat CNN, will take the stage in seven communities to dish about hisstoried career in a one-man show.
The 77-year-old Emmy Award-winner will offer theatergoers aninside look at his life and the chance to ask him questions when"Larry King: Stand Up" kicks off April 14 in Torrington, Conn.
The show will then make stops in Pennsylvania, New York,Maryland, New Jersey and Nevada, ending June 11 at the Mirage Hotelin Las Vegas.
Shakira, Pique shots hacked
A Spanish photo agency says coveted shots circulating on theInternet of Shakira holding hands with FC Barcelona soccer starGerard Pique were stolen by a computer hacker.
The agency Gtres-Online and other agencies had been planning tosell these photos to Spanish and other publications as exclusives.
Gtres-Online said Tuesday the photos taken by paparazzi werestolen by a hacker, probably from a temporary Internet file thatagencies like his use.
Montero said the shots of the couple outside a Barcelonarestaurant were then downloaded onto a Shakira fan website.
Rumors that the Colombian singer and the member of Spain's WorldCup-winning team were an item surfaced during last year's tournamentin South Africa.
Garth tapped for songwriters hall
Garth Brooks is being immortalized for his songwriting skills.
The country superstar is one of five acts to be inducted into theSongwriters Hall of Fame on June 16.
Leon Russell is also part of the inductee class, making it thesecond hall of fame honor for him this year; next month, he'll beinducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Fellow piano man AllenToussaint will be inducted as well, along with John Bettis , whowrote "Human Nature," and the team of Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly, who wrote songs including "Like A Virgin" and "True Colors."
